How we got this way

Let me give some explanation of how we got this way.
Church has been taught a false understanding of Romans 13. Most will remember this section because it contains the words “Higher Power.” Most Bible teachers worship (obey without question) government officials because of this false teaching of Roman’s 13. We can back up to Romans 12:8 to find that the rulers are subject to God. "Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence (one definition of diligence, is indifference, rulers are supposed to be fair. Fair is seeing that everyone gets what they need, not the same thing.); he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Please take time to go to YouTube and watch the interview of Richard Nixon by David Frost. From the interview; the words below in bold are David Frost, the other, Richard Nixon. Look at minute 4:08
But when you said, as you said when we were talking about the Huston Plan, "If the president orders it, that makes it legal", is there anything in the constitution or the bill of rights that suggests the president is that much of a sovereign, that far above the law?
"No, there isn't. There's nothing specific that the constitution contemplates. I haven't read every word, every jot and every tittle, but I do know that it has been argued that, as far as a president is concerned, that in wartime, a president does have certain extraordinary powers which would make acts that would otherwise be unlawful, lawful if undertaken for the purpose of preserving the nation and the constitution, which is essential for the rights we're all talking about."

I’ve not found a single employee of the State of Oregon who doesn’t prescribe to the mentality that Nixon held. “If I do it is legal.” Meaning: "if I do it is done by God.” God is government and government is God; if I get a paycheck from the government, I am God. And if they don’t believe this, they are just as bad because they don’t report the crimes done by those that do.
Back up from Romans 13 to 12: 1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
How did Nixon or any think that they don’t have to follow these two scriptures above? Especially when just down the page is 8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. 9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
So look closer, we have rules for the rulers. If you follow it logically you find that God gave us the institution of government and the institution of marriage. Then he asks us to enter into both institutions. He tells us to never discard either. These institutions are inanimate objects; they are only animated by the people who enter them. People fail, corrupt and brake.
So, why do we allow ourselves to say things like: The marriage failed; or our government is corrupt; or the system is broken? God has told us over and over again to blame people, us, ourselves not the institution placed by God. A marriage, government, or system can’t breathe, walk, talk, accept Christ or deny Christ, only the people in the marriage, government or system. We must take the blame for the problems and give the blame for the problems to man or we risk blaming God. This has cause men to avoid marriage, government and systems. We can’t have that; that is anarchy. We need them all but we need to take the blame so we can get better. Allow me to illustrate this way.
I have a sermon called: “It spilled.” When my children were three, each spilled their milk. When I came into the room, they told me: “It spilled.” I had to tell them. It can’t spill, it can’t move, it has no brain, arms or legs. So, therefore you must have spilled it. If I allow you to blame the milk, you will not look for solutions to keep from spilling it again. What can you do differently? How about placing the milk at the top of your plate where your elbow can’t bump it? Would that solve it? Twelve years later that little boy Brian is now in automotive classes in High school. I come home late from work and tell the boys, sorry I’m late, the transmission went out. Brian tells me: “It can’t go out, it has no arms and legs or brain, did you change the transmission fluid at 30,000 miles? When’s the last time you changed the filter?
Did I have egg on my face or what? I didn’t teach him that to use on me, how dare him? No, I thanked him and my life has improved greatly. But how do you teach that to others? How do you get people to blame their own actions or more important, inactions for the problems around us?

Take a look at this:  When I meet with church leader around the country there is almost always someone in the group makes the statement "oh that's Old Testament." Shortly after the leader makes that statement I say: "oh, so you don't see a need for the Old Testament." And they say "what for, we live by the New Testament." Then I say "then you have sex with animals." This shocks them all back to reality. I don't say that to be mean or obtuse; I say it so they will reconsider their wholesale rejection of the Old Testament. I tell them that there are many things that are not taught in the New Testament because the writers of the New Testament knew that everyone knew that when they printed "it is written, or "the scriptures" everyone would know that the only thing written and or scripture at the time was the Old Testament. 2 Tim 3:16 "all scripture is God breathed and useful...." When 2 Tim was written the writer knew that the people reading would instantly turn to the OT to use for reproof. But, sadly, today few would ever think of the OT when they read 2 Tim. One of the biggest causes of Heresy and Apostasy is the printing of New Testament alone; leading people to believe that the OT has little or no value. We can understand very little in the NT without a deep study and understanding of the OT. Notice in the article the scripture used to deny Beastiality were all OT. This is one reason I keep a beard on my face and do nothing on the Saturday Sabbath. When we skip any OT directive, we open the door for another to skip even more, until you have what you see today. Today's false grace teachings lead people to believe "oh, that's Old Testament.
